About Guy Black

Lord Black is a passionate champion of press and media freedom, dedicated to defending free speech in the United Kingdom, the EU and across the Commonwealth. 

In the UK, he is Deputy Chairman of Telegraph Media Group, and a former Director of the Press Complaints Commission. Internationally, he was for sixteen years Chairman of the Commonwealth Press Union, and is a Vice President of News Media Europe and a former President of the European Newspaper Publishers Association. 

He is actively involved in many of the publishing industry's most significant charities as Patron of the Rory Peck Trust, President Emeritus of the Printing Charity and Vice President of the Journalists' Charity.
